Significant One

Logline: Aspiring theater actor, Simon serendipitously meets Maya, a Chicago transplant and singer on the New York City subway. Is it a connection for a lifetime, or just another fleeting moment between strangers.

Synopsis: Recently engaged, Bronx native, Simon isn’t too sure he wants to get married. Whilst dodging phone calls from both his Mom and his fiancé, Simon has a serendipitous rendezvous with Maya, a feisty, yet confident, New York City newbie on the subway. What starts off as a brief interaction, turns into something more intimate when the two discover they have much more in common than the T-shirt Simon is wearing. Follow Simon and Maya on a walk through Central Park, a comical surprise visit by a homeless couple, and an opportunity for true love that relies on the will of the human heart. Is it a connection for a lifetime, or just another fleeting moment between strangers.
